At The Cross Baptist Church, we are committed to the authority, sufficiency, and inerrancy of Scripture. As a Bible-preaching Baptist church in Wallisville, Texas, we believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and our final authority for faith and practice.
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. We believe the local church exists to glorify God through expository preaching, Christ-centered worship, biblical discipleship, evangelism, and missions.
As a Southern Baptist church serving Wallisville, Chambers County, Mont Belvieu, Anahuac, Beach City, Winnie, and surrounding communities, we affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our primary statement of faith. We also embrace the historic doctrines summarized in the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689) and the New Hampshire Confession of Faith.
We affirm the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, which expresses our conviction that Scripture is completely true, trustworthy, and without error in its original manuscripts. We also affirm the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood and the Nashville Statement on Human Sexuality as faithful summaries of biblical teaching regarding marriage, family, gender, and human sexuality.
The Cross Baptist Church is committed to making disciples through the faithful proclamation of the gospel, the teaching of God's Word, meaningful church membership, biblical counseling, and the advancement of Christ's kingdom both locally and around the world.
The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 provides a concise summary of the essential doctrines we believe and teach as a Southern Baptist church.
